Zen Bard of Suhe

About

I'm Shuji Yomikaki (读垣修二), and my display name on X is Zen Bard of Suhe — a little Zen, a little rock and roll, which is more or less the ratio in real life.

I spent many years in the chip world, worked on products, and spent a short stretch in hard-tech venture investing. That stint didn't make me smarter, but it did stop me from jumping to conclusions. These days I'm an AI-native builder: I like turning ideas into things that actually run, even if they only run on my own desktop.

Outside of work I practice Zen, and I love rock and musicals. One trains the quiet, one trains the loud; they keep each other honest. I'm also a longtime fan of Douglas Adams and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy — it showed up at an age when I most needed someone to say "Don't Panic," and it has stayed on the easiest-to-reach shelf ever since.

Right now I'm tinkering with agent computers and Omarchy, building a theme called Zhufeng Night, and writing essays and research notes in fits and starts. I don't carry any impressive titles. I'm just someone still asking questions and still building things. The 42 part I figured out long ago; asking the right question is the hard part.
